Wilma kills 11 as she heads for the history books
As Hurricane Wilma heads for Florida, she leaves a trail of death and destruction in her wake: 11 dead in floods and landslides in Haiti and Jamaica.
With her twirling siblings Katrina, Rita and Dennis she has made the 2005 Atlantic storm season the busiest on record.
Many Caribbean areas are still trying to recover from last year’s hurricanes: Charley, Frances,Ivan and Jeanne and worried boffins say that warmer waters which spark the storms are possibly caused by global warming.
