Love-lorn Turk sails 2,500 miles
A yachting stalker sailed 2,500 miles in a desperate bid to win the hand of table waitress only to be intercepted by the UK Border Agency.
Turkish businessman Ramazan Culum, 38, sailed from Bodrum near Kos in April and turned up off the north Devon coast in his effort to become reunited with Courtney Murray from Liverpool who once served him a kebab in Cyprus seven years before!
After spotting her on social media sites he proposed, but later started abusing her.
A friend of Ms Murray commented on his blog: ‘All you are to her is a fruitcake stalker.’
The UKBA cutter Valiant picked him up last week and hgave detained him for questioning.
The news comes after the UKBA comes under attack from an official watchdog for putting the UK at risk for failing to make security checks on ‘thousands’ of asylum seekers.
