Beneteau First 265
This was the mid-stage development of Finot’s 26ft design – a
muchmodified 1991 version of the First 26, first launched in 1984. (The
later 260 Spirit was more of an enlarged 210.) She came with a lifting
keel as standard. The saloon was open-plan with the settees running
forward to make long vee-berths with a table between them. There was a
full, forward-facing chart table and an effective galley. With a little
bit of extra length compared to her smaller sisters, the heads included
a wet hanging locker and the double aftercabin had much improved
stowage. Five hundred were built.
