Beneteau Oceanis 423 Clipper

Introduced in 2003 as a replacement for the Oceanis 411 Clipper, this
popular Groupe Finot design boasts a spacious and well-organised interior
and, in particular, a bright and roomy forecabin. She has a large chart table
with a generous amount of stowage space – but elsewhere, long-term
liveaboard cruisers may fi nd there is a lack of suitable stowage.
Under sail, her performance is an improvement on the rather sedate
411, but still steady as opposed to remarkable. Nonetheless, she is easy on
the helm, well-balanced and stiff, and her sails are easily handled by large
winches. Under power she handles easily, although poor soundproofi ng
means high noise levels, especially down below.
