Coromandel

Junk rig had always been a popular option in the range of small cruisers built by Newbridge in the 1970s and 1980s, but the 21ft Coromandel, based on the Corribee (see below), was the only
model the company produced specifically for the rig. She has a strangely rounded coachroof with a large cockpit, while the cabin layout comprises three bunks in an open-plan interior and a very
large heads for her size. The fold-out galley is adequate and there is reasonable stowage. Build quality was average. Performance to windward is pedestrian but she is very easy to handle.

LOA 6.32m (20ft 9in), LWL 4.88m (16ft), beam 2.16m (7ft 2in), draught 0.91m (3ft), displacement 908kg (2,000lb). Price guide: £1,500 to £4,500. YM Test Report September 1982.
