Cox Master Mariner
This Vic Martin design from 1977 is quite a surprise package. Not only is she very roomy for her 22ft, she is also, considering her appearance, a very capable performer, particularly off the wind in a bit of a blow. The raised foredeck has two berths under it, while the dinette in the saloon converts to another double. There is a large galley and a good, sheltered steering position. She has an adequate sloop rig as standard, though there was an option for a less efficient ketch configuration. The long keel is flanked by bilge plates, allowing her to dry out upright. She is a safe, comfortable little estuary cruiser.
