Thorness Bay

At low tide you can see pipelines in the east of Thorness Bay that were laid across the Solent from Lepe as part of the Pluto project that supplied the Allies with fuel following the Normandy landings.

Crow Rocks lay north of the ledge and to clear them, keep the tip of Gurnard head on a bearing of 057M or above.
